Little tips to reach without problems the Grand Hotel Minerva.

Dear Guest,
we are pleased to welcome you to Florence. Please be informed that our hotel is situated in a Trafic Limited Zone. The ZTL is patrolled by cameras that photograph every vehicle entering it. Our staff will enter your plate number into a dedicated Internet page so you will receive no traffic ticket.

In case you need to use your car again during your stay, please remind our staff to report again your plate number every time you come back to the hotel.

We also take the liberty to inform you not to drive into bus lanes (this sign is shown and there is a yellow stripe along the lane): many of this are patrolled by cameras and also by public transport staff as well as town police.
Your car will be parked at a garage nearby by the garage staff: payment conditions are displayed on the reception desk. The corresponding amount will be charged on the room bill. To have your car brought back to the garage, please allow us 10-15 minutes.

For clients trying to reach the hotel:

- From the Pisa airport “G. Galilei”, we suggest to take the train for Firenze Santa Maria Novella with departures every hour.

- At the Florence airport “A. Vespucci”, we suggest to take the shuttle bus to the train station Santa Maria Novella, or a taxi which will take about 15 minutes.

- Upon arriving at the train station Santa Maria Novella we suggest a 200 metre walk to the hotel or a taxi that will only take a few minutes.

- By car we suggest the following route to avoid a traffic fine:

From North and West (Subways A1/A11):
• Exit Firenze Nord (Florence North) and follow instructions to Centro/Stazione (Downtown/Station).
• At the end of Viale Redi enter shortly Viale Belfiore taking a right (white building on your right) and then cross it to enter Via Guido Monaco in front of you on the left hand, past the traffic light (directions to Stazione)
• Proceed into via Alamanni (note the railway station on your left)
• Enter via Santa Caterina da Siena (2nd right) and drive it to its end
• Turn left into via della Scala for about 500 m
• You will see the facade of Santa Maria Novella church on your left
• The hotel is situated on its left: drive towards the entrance of the Hotel Roma and then drive the square anticlockwise.

From South (Highway A1) and Siena:
• Exit Firenze Certosa (Florence Certosa) and follow instructions to Centro/Stazione (Downtown/Station)
• Pass the Arno River on the Ponte alla Vittoria
• Enter the tunnel and after the tunnel proceed to Porta al Prato (door part of the ancient wall)
• Leave it on your left and make a right into via Alamanni (first possible on the right)
• Drive along via Alamanni (note the railway station on your left)
• Enter via Santa Caterina da Siena (2nd right) and drive it to its end
• Turn left into via della Scala for about 500 m
• You will see the facade of Santa Maria Novella church on your left
• the hotel is situated on its left: drive towards the entrance of the Hotel Roma and then drive the square anticlockwise
