Code, this information is provided to those who use the online services of the
Grand Hotel Minerva, which can be accessed online from the URL: http://www.grandhotelminerva.com.
The information only applies to the Grand Hotel Minerva site and not to any other
websites which may be access by the user via links.
The information is also based on Recommendation No 2/2001, adopted by the European
data protection authorities, united in the Group established by Art. 29 of Directive
No 95/46/EC, on 27 May 2001 in order to identify a number of minimum requirements
for online personal data collection, particularly the methods, times and nature
of the information that data controllers must provide users when they access web
pages, independently of the purpose of the connection.
TYPE OF DATA PROCESSED AND PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING
Connection data
During their normal operation, the computer systems and software processes which
run this site acquire some personal data, the transmission of which is implicit
in the use of Internet communication protocols.
This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified parties,
but it could, by its very nature, make it possible to identify users as a result
of processing and association with other data held by third parties.
This data category includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers
used by users who connect to the site, the addresses in the annotation of the
URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the resources requested, the time of the
request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the
file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server
response (success, error, etc.) and other parameters relative to the user’s operating
system.
This data is only used to acquire anonymous statistical information on site use
and to check that it is operating properly. The data is deleted immediately after
processing. The data could be used to establish responsibility in the hypothetical
event of criminal acts to the detriment of the site. Except in these circumstances,
web contact data is not currently stored for more than seven days.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, express and voluntary sending of emails to the addresses indicated
on this site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which
is needed in order to respond to requests, as well as the acquisition of any other
personal data included in the message.
A summary of specific information will be provided or displayed progressively
on the site pages for specific services that can be requested.
Cookies
None of the user’s personal data will be acquired by the site for this purpose.
The site does not use cookies to transmit personal information, nor does it use
so-called persistent cookies of any type, or user tracking systems.
The use of so-called session cookies (which are not stored persistently on the
user’s computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited
to the transmission of session identification data (consisting of random numbers
generated by the server) needed to permit secure and effective use of the site.
The so-called session cookies used on this site help us to avoid the use of other
information technology techniques which could be potentially prejudicial to the
users’ use of the site. The session cookies used do not permit the acquisition
of the user’s personal identification data.
DATA PROCESSING METHODS
Personal data is processed using automatic means, for the length of time strictly
necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
Specific security measures are observed in order to prevent data loss, unlawful
or improper use and unauthorised access.
PLACE OF DATA PROCESSING
Data processing associated with the web services offered by this site takes place
at the locations indicated above and at the server farm of Blastness S.r.l. Data
processing is performed solely by the technical personnel responsible for data
processing, or by occasional maintenance workers.
No data deriving from the web service will be disclosed.
The personal data provided by users who request information to be sent to them
is used for the sole purpose of providing the service requested and is only communicated
to third parties if necessary in order to fulfil the request (for example, shipping
agents or carriers).
OPTIONAL NATURE OF DATA PROVISION
With the exception of that specified regarding connection data, the user is free
